Account and updates

Signing in, what is shared, updates and feedback.

Signing in

Sneak Peek asks you to sign in with GitHub or Google the first time you open it. Your account row sits at the bottom of the sidebar; click it to open Settings.

Settings

Account
Your name and email, Sign Out, and Share usage data. Show What’s Shared opens exactly what the app would send, to read or copy.
Appearance
The app’s theme, System, Light or Dark, and its accent color: Default, Blue, Purple, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow or Green. Prototypes set to the System theme follow the app’s theme too.

What is shared

While sharing is on, the app sends a usage log: launches, projects added with their stack, prototypes created and edited, renders and errors. Project and prototype names are replaced and file paths removed first. Your code never leaves your Mac. Read the privacy page.

Updates

The app checks for new versions in the background. When one is ready, an Update Available row appears in the sidebar; click it to install. You can also check yourself with Sneak Peek, Check for Updates.

Help and feedback

Send Feedback
In the Help menu. It opens an email in your mail app with a summary of how the app has been running, which you read before you send.
Copy Usage Report
Copies the same summary, to paste wherever you like.
